Spinal Energetics works through gentle, intuitive contact along the spine — and sometimes without physical touch — to support your nervous system’s natural ability to regulate and release tension. Rather than fixing or correcting the body, sessions create the conditions for your system to re-organise itself safely and naturally.
During a session, you may notice spontaneous movement, changes in breathing, emotional release, or shifts in temperature or sensation. These responses are your nervous system processing stored stress or protective patterns at a pace it determines.As tension softens, many people experience greater ease, clarity, and a stronger sense of connection within themselves.

DIFFERENCE TO CHIROPRACTIC / OSTEOPATHY / PHYSIOTHERAPY
Chiropractic, osteopathy, and physiotherapy often focus on structural correction — improving mobility, posture, or function through adjustments, exercises, or manual techniques. Spinal Energetics takes a different pathway. Rather than manually realigning the body, it works with nervous system patterns that may be holding tension or misalignment in place. When underlying stress responses begin to resolve, the body can re-organise itself naturally, supporting change without force or manipulation.
DIFFERENCE TO MASSAGE THERAPY
Massage therapy primarily works through muscles and soft tissue to relieve tension, improve circulation, and reduce physical discomfort. While highly beneficial, it focuses on releasing tension from the outside in. Spinal Energetics approaches the body differently by engaging the nervous system directly. Instead of manually loosening muscles, sessions support the body to release held stress patterns internally, which may allow physical tension to unwind as a natural response.
DIFFERENCE TO REIKI
Reiki works gently within the energetic field to promote relaxation and overall balance, often through light or no touch in a still, meditative setting. Spinal Energetics also acknowledges energetic processes but engages more directly with the spine and nervous system through intentional contact. Sessions may involve spontaneous movement or release as the body unwinds stored stress patterns, supporting active nervous system regulation rather than passive energetic restoration alone.
~ WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT DURING A SESSION ~
Your session begins with a brief consultation to discuss your needs and intentions.
Once on the table, a short assessment of the feet and gentle contact along the spine helps guide the session. Soft music will play in the background, and you’ll be encouraged to focus on your breath and body sensations to support relaxation.
Using light touch on the body or within the energetic field, I work with your nervous system as it begins to release stored tension. You may experience changes in breathing, emotion, sensation, or spontaneous movement — all natural responses as the body unwinds.
Movement is not a measure of effectiveness. Some sessions are active, while others are deeply still. Each experience is unique and guided by what your body is ready to process.
HOW I WORK
No two sessions are ever the same.
The body reveals what it is ready to release — whether through subtle movement, emotional release, visual imagery, or spontaneous energetic waves. I hold space for whatever arises, guided by presence, breath, and deep trust in your system’s intelligence.
A significant part of my practice now includes intuitive visualisation. I often work in tandem with your guides and my own, gently inviting imagery, symbolism, or messages that support your unfolding. These are not imposed — they emerge through you.
In addition to Spinal Energetics, I am also certified in Reiki Healing (Levels 1 & 2), which supports and complements the energetic dimension of my sessions. This training has deepened my sensitivity to subtle fields and allows me to hold a clear, coherent container for healing to unfold.
~ COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS ~
WILL I EXPERIENCE MOVEMENTS DURING A SESSION?
Every body responds differently, and there is no “right” way to experience a session. Some people notice movement such as shaking or stretching, while others experience subtle sensations like warmth, tingling, or deep stillness. Visible movement isn’t a measure of benefit — your nervous system releases and regulates in the way that is most appropriate for you.
DO I HAVE TO BELIEVE IN ENERGY WORK?
You don’t need to believe in energy work for Spinal Energetics to be beneficial. Sessions focus on supporting your nervous system’s natural responses through gentle contact and awareness of the spine and body. Many people approach it simply as a relaxation or regulation practice, allowing their experience — rather than belief — to guide the process.
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
A minimum of three sessions, spaced 1–2 weeks apart, is recommended to support your nervous system in learning new patterns of regulation. Repetition helps your body integrate change and begin holding balance more easily, after which sessions can be spaced further apart.
The aim of this work is independence — not ongoing reliance. As your system strengthens its ability to self-regulate, many people find they no longer need regular sessions. However, life brings stress and change, and occasional sessions can offer support during challenging periods or when you feel called to go deeper.
IS SPINAL ENERGETICS SAFE FOR EVERYONE?
Spinal Energetics can be highly supportive for many people; however, some situations require specialised training or alternative care to ensure safety.
I'm unable to work with:
Pregnant women
Children under 12 years of age
Adults over 75 years of age
Individuals diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, or Psychosis
Anyone hospitalised for a psychiatric condition or emotional crisis within the past 2 years
Those with recent physical injuries, fractures, or surgeries (within the past 6-12 months)
People with epilepsy or a history of seizures
Individuals with severe or unstable heart conditions.
If you fall into any of these categories, please feel welcome to contact me. Many Spinal Energetics practitioners hold additional training for specific circumstances, and I am happy to refer you to someone who can safely support you.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is ideal — wear whatever allows you to move and breathe freely.
If you have shoulder-length hair or longer, please tie it up so the back of your neck is accessible. This allows me to work more effectively with your spine and energetic field.
WILL IT HURT?
No. Sessions use gentle, respectful contact and are not intended to cause pain. Any discomfort that arises is usually related to your body releasing stored tension rather than the technique itself. You remain in control throughout and can communicate with me at any time.
Afterwards, some people experience mild soreness or fatigue for up to 72 hours as the body adjusts. Hydration, gentle movement, and rest can support this integration. Please reach out if you have any concerns.
CAN I COMBINE SPINAL ENERGETICS WITH OTHER THERAPIES?
Yes. Many clients find Spinal Energetics complements other modalities such as psychotherapy, physical therapy, acupuncture, or bodywork.
It can work particularly well alongside counselling or psychology. As stored stress or emotions begin to release through the body, people often find they can access and articulate experiences more easily in talk therapy, allowing both approaches to support deeper integration.
